What to Expect:

  • Bus ride on a trail/off-road.
  • Sun or rain exposure, humidity.
  • Archery and Craft making
  • Walking.
  • Swimming, fun and adventure.

Tour Layout:

  • Depart Georgetown and travel along the East Bank Road to the Linden
    Soesdyke Highway
  • Visit the Bimichi lodge and learn about craft making, take part in craft
    making.
  • Tour around and learn the village history and way of life
  • Test your skill set at the indigenous way of hunting (archery)
  • Pre-ordered lunch and non-alcoholic beverage.
  • Head over to the Mahaica river for swimming and relaxation
  • Depart village at approximately 3pm for Georgetown

What To Take

  • Light comfortable clothing and comfortable sneakers, take slippers or water shoes.
  • Sunscreen and bug spray, Swim wear, umbrella, hats, raincoats
  • Snacks
  • Towel or change of clothing if you will be swimming.
  • Allergy medication or antihistamine, if needed. Or any other medication.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Always listen to the Tour Guide and do as advised for you safety and enjoyment of the Trip.
  • Keep all valuables on you at all times.
  • Always wear seat belts in vehicles.
  • Do not rush in and out of vehicles, boats or planes; ascend or descend in an orderly manner; wait until the person in front of you is seated or disembarked then enter or exit.
  • When in any Touring Guyana Vehicle, keep all arms, legs and belongings in the vehicle, until told to disembark.
  • Notify the Tour Guide if you cannot swim.
  • When in the rainforest; do not pick leaves, flowers, berries or plants, you maybe allergic to.
  • If you are feeling tired or unwell inform the Tour Guide.
  • Do not litter, garbage bags are available, just ask the Guide.
  • All safety guidelines are in effect.

Assembly and Departure

7:15 AM:  Meet the tour guide in front of Qik Serv on Main and Quamina Streets.

 

7:30 AM:  Depart Georgetown (late arrivals will be left behind).

 

Note: Pick up can be done along the route on the main road. Kindly  inform the reservation staff.

Return

5:30 PM:  Approximate return time to Georgetown
