Mazaruni River Tour (Bartica)

Set off on an unforgettable journey along the Mazaruni River. Travel from Georgetown to Parika, then take a scenic speedboat ride to Fort Kyk-Over-Al. Hike to Marshall Falls for a refreshing swim, followed by a delicious lunch in Bartica. End your day relaxing at Bartica Beach before returning to Georgetown. This tour combines history, nature, and relaxation in one perfect adventure.

What to Expect:

• Bumpy boat ride on the river (not recommended for persons
  with bad backs, knees, hips or who are pregnant).
• Sun or rain exposure, humidity.
• 30 mins hiking in rainforest (5 mins decline / incline)
• Limited phone signal
• Crossing a log to get to the waterfall.
• Swimming
• Fun and adventure

Tour Layout:

• Depart Georgetown and travel across the Demerara river to
  Parika
• Big Kiss Wharf (Parika- transfer to speed boat)
• Boat ride from Parika to Fort-Kyk-OverAl approximately 1hour
  and 20 minutes.
• Fort-Kyk-OverAl
• 30 Minutes hike to Marshall Falls and swimming for 45 Minutes.
• Pre-ordered lunch and non-alcoholic beverage at Bartica 
• Visit Bartica Beach
• Depart Bartica for Georgetown at 3:30pm

What To Take

• Light comfortable clothing and comfortable sneakers or footwear.
• Sunscreen and bug spray
• Swim wear, umbrella, hats, raincoats
• Snacks
• Towel and change of clothing for swimming
• Allergy medication or antihistamine, if needed. Or any other medication.

• Keep all valuables on you at all times.
• Always wear seat belts in vehicles.
• Do not rush in and out of vehicles, boats or planes; ascend or descend in an orderly manner; wait until the person in front of you is seated or disembarked then enter or exit.
• When in any Touring Guyana Vehicle, keep all arms, legs and belongings in the vehicle, until told to disembark.
• When in the rainforest; do not pick leaves, flowers, berries or plants, you maybe allergic to.
• If you are feeling tired or unwell inform the Tour Guide.
• Do not litter, garbage bags are available, just ask the Guide.
